There was no fix in the past, so I don't get what you are talking about.
I thought to try and bibisect it, but unfortunately I cannot reproduce it in
Ubuntu 16.04 with various 5.2-5.3 versions. I tried VCL backends gtk, gen,
x11.. no problem.
I still see the problem with Arch Linux, but I can't bibisect with Arch.</pre>
