The special handling of auto selecting the range that happens when clicking the
Sum button is a good feature and if the function in the list can benefit from
the feature, it should auto select the range, but if it doesnt, then it should
simply insert the function into the cell, just like it would simply insert
'=SUM()' into a field that isnt near a range.</pre>
