tested on Win 7 64bit.
In fact things are worse now. When the original Excel .xls file is opened by
CALC then saved in .ods format, any attempt to re-open that .ods in CALC
produces the error message "The xxx file is corrupt and cannot be opened", and
the Repair option fails. However if "No" is chosen, the file does open but the
hyperlinks associated with numbers are all lost.</pre>
