When a chart freezes as I have indicated, I save the file and close it. The I re-open that same file and the chart works again. I've done this for two days now and this does get that frozen chart to work again until another chart freezes and I do to "save and re-open" trick again. I hope this will offer some help with your understanding of what is going on.
