This is an area, where LibreOffice does not shine compared to the competition. Due to these limitations, it is difficult to convince people who are used to collaborative editing to use Writer. Do you know the "Track Changes" page in the documentfoundation wiki? And please don't just copy MS Word's track changes feature.
