<pre>I can reproduce this in 5.3. The font ascent is 0 so there's a divide by zero.
I suspect from the ascent issue that this may be related to <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_RESOLVED bz_closed"
title="RESOLVED FIXED - Rendering of system font vertically cramped or cropped in dialog labels and controls in 5.3+"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=107249">bug 107249</a> and
might be fixed as a side effect of that too.</pre>
