<pre>The summary is a bit misleading, but I agree with the suggestion in <a href="show_bug.cgi?id=112537#c1">comment 1</a>.
LibreOffice will keep running in the background after closing for quite a long
time, if a large amount of data on the clipboard. And having the data on the
clipboard is mostly by accident.
An example
1. Open <a href="https://yadi.sk/i/rM9QctDym5y3M">https://yadi.sk/i/rM9QctDym5y3M</a>
2. Copy the columns A-C
3. Close Calc -> Back to Start Center
4. Close LibreOffice -> Notice that LibO will run for 12 seconds in the
background before it closes
So, "You have a large amount on the clipboard. Would you like to clear it?", ,
looks like a pretty obvious feature.
