This bug appeared upon upgrading from Ubuntu 17.04 to 17.10. In previous
versions, when any cells that contained a formula that referenced other cells
(or ranges) were selected and then you clicked on the formula editor, the
referenced cells/ranges were highlighted in various colors. The highlights were
also draggable and re-sizable. This is not the case anymore. No cells or ranges
are highlighted.

Note, this appears to be fixed in the latest beta (6.0.0.0.beta2), but not the
latest stable (5.4.3.2). Perhaps it could be backported.
