I hunted a solution for you guys and found several:

A nice and quick one is changing the selection mode to Block (left-click the
cursor icon in the status bar), select everything with mouse and paste to a new
file.
In the OO.org topic there is also a macro posted on Thu Feb 23, 2017.
Finally, like the last post in the topic says:
File > Export as PDF. Now copy everything from the PDF and paste it into a new
document.</pre>
