<pre>Sorry, but don't we heavily bikeshed here? No one challenged the color palette
itself, the question just boils down whether purple is more of a red color or
rather blue. In my opinion Mihkel is right with red, he gave a lot of
references to proof this. German combines the two terms to "Purpurrot" (purple
red), I never heard about "violet red".
(And I've not seen a good argument in this thread against swapping names.)</pre>
