When creating a bulleted list (or list style), you can select the character for
each list level from the customize tab -> character -> select. This opens the
Special Characters dialog, which was recently redesigned with a text filter
function. The box is called "search".

Problem: If I filter before selecting a character, then click "OK", nothing
happens.

For an example, enter "check" into the search box, then select U+2611 BALLOT
BOX WITH CHECK. As far as I can tell, the actual character selected makes no
difference. Same for the font.

If I scroll through the list and select the character, it works as expected.
Furthermore, in the case where the dialog is accessed from Insert -> Special
Character, both methods work as expected.
