The Formatting (Styles) toolbar was implemented for 5.4.0 and finalized 6.0.2

title="RESOLVED FIXED - Addition of a style-focused formatting toolbar"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=106781">bug 106781
As implemented on the Formatting (Styles) toolbar, the button selection is not
stateful, unlike the Formatting toolbar that shows Direct Formatting.
OP separators of #1 are already present on both the Formatting (Styles) toolbar
and the Styles menu.
On the Formatting (Styles) toolbar each of the Character style buttons--A, EM,
S, A", </> has an icon assigned. Each is accompanied by a descriptive tooltip.
It is possible to change the iconography, but a on or two character icon drawn
from English will always be objectionable to some group of users.
