Once a single character whitin LibreOffice has been copied, it's not possible
to do an "external" copy&paste.

The solution here was conflicting software.  A CTI-Software worked in
background, waiting for a key-combination to start a new telephone-call.
(UNIFY - CommunicationClient, desktopintegration.exe)

Once this app has been terminated, the copy&paste bug has vanished.

There may be many other "background services" waiting for hotkeys, I think.
