So, as a mere user and not a technology wizard, I guess that the program
crashed when trying to open the Writer file. I do not know if failure to open
a file and then produce a request for the bug report meets Libre Office's
definition of a crash. As a mere user it appears to be a crash, though there
was not a splash screen that said CRASH. As the my bug report says, I was able
to reopen that Writer file while I was preparing the bug report and have been
able to reopen the file without the bug report several additional times in the
past 24 hours. The only out of the ordinary event between the normal opening of
the Writer document yesterday and the subsequent failed opening of the Writer
file were two Windows 7 updates for Microsoft Security Essentials and a
restart.
