That totally fixes my issue, thank you very much.
I wonder if there's a way to incorporate your work into the original repository
[1] so it doesn't get lost. I have no idea if Google accepts pull requests or
what its policies are. There also seem to be some ongoing discussions [2] I
don't really understand (fonts are way beyond my area of expertise).
