<pre>Hi! Yes, the dialog is closed at step 2.
If you then close the app and reopen it normally, the settings will have been
properly saved and preserved as expected. But if at any point the "plug is
pulled" on the system (brutal power cycle) then settings are wiped out and
revert to default.
It's as if the settings are loaded in memory on startup *and erased from disk*,
and then saved back to disk on closing the app. Which means if system dies at
any point in between, there's no hard copy kept anywhere.</pre>
