I have tested the situation from 6.0 to 6.2 alpha preview version. They all behave the same. In my situatuion, large pictures may not be the only cause. Also scrolling though complex tables is significantly slow . Changing from gtk3 to gtk2 should improve a little bit but still unacceptable. For each pagedown or up, almost 10 seconds is required. Continuously using the mouse's scroll wheel will freeze the screen for a long time. This makes the software almost useless. The size of my testing file is 5.2M with 16 pages. Now i have to downgrade to libreoffice 5.4.7 where no such bug. Hope the problem can be solved very soon.
