Plus, changing the line style/color/thickness affects the user-defined line, which is also not perfect. Ideally we have the presets at the left column and all settings in the middle with a preview right-hand. The options for line should depend on the selection, ie. when clicking somewhere it adjusts to what is there. The mockup is a very rough illustration. Though your proposal is still a great enhancement and could be sone as an easyhack so lets go forward with this.
