Actually, applying styles to multiple tables is the part that interests me the least. I particularly work with hundreds of tables in a document and it is very common to select only a few (20, 30, etc) of the hundreds of tables in it. At the moment that is something impossible to do in Writer. Maybe it's just something that I just need as a user and it's not worth the effort.
