You are obviously right (although I couldn't find this behaviour documented in
manual at all).
Nevertheless I still think the period of switching modes is much too short. You
say "about a second", but switching is almost instant on my computer, it is
0,2s maybe, just wink. This clearly was a reason of this bug report.</pre>
