Hello @ll,
this seems to have started somewhere during the switch to 6.2 in master, but is
still reproducible in RC1 ... :(
Do the following:
1. Install LO parallel to other versions following the instructions from
<a href="https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux">https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux</a>
2. go to "Tools - Options - Security - Certificate"
3. change the certificate path from "thunderbird: default" to "firefox:
default"
4. confirm to restart in the next dialog
LO immediately crashes and you are not able to work with it later on (i.e.
going to "Tools - Options" again, use the menus in Writer) as it will crash
again ... :( This bug is reproducible on my system every time. Moving
$instdir/user or removing $instdir/user/registrymodification.xcu is somehow a
workaround, but ...
OS: Kubuntu 18.10
LO: Version: 6.2.0.1

Dr Konqi produces some lines for this crash (see attached file) and I see the
following when started from the command line:
