In most cases rows are not higher than the room needed or the text, and so the first one, two or three... of the cells to the right of the cell containing the link will often be completely covered by the text of the link. Look at the attachment "Example of such a Link": The cells in column D and E cannot be selected by clicking, and only the right part of the cell in column F can.
