But, from there, direct formatting overrides style formatting and we need not to apply it. Demo file is not quite correct. A1 has Date format. So any change in A2 will not CF effect A1. I can't say how we make it work i.e. remove that format. I sometimes repro from scratch, depending on how I set cell A1. But I also don't as in attached another demo ODS. Tried with 6.3+.
