<pre>Upon loading the same file today, it now seems to me that the cursor does not
leap to different locations, as I thought, but instead the page on which it
rests is rewritten in six different views during the process of formating and
reformating. Anyway, it remains true that this iterative approximation to the
final view does not need to be displayed.</pre>
