Importing a CSV file from my bank for tax purposes. The currency fields came
in as text strings. The only choices to reformat the fields were as dates,
general not as a numeric or currency as a result I was unable to perform
calculations against these fields without first manually striping the string
identify from each field! I see were some one entered a fix request to define
numerics as strings. This makes absolutely no sense. I am lucky I have a MAC.
I had to use Apple's Numbers spreadsheet application. Please rethink this.</pre>
