Not a bug. We do not maintain English names or translate characters to any
other language. Rather, we observe the current Unicode standard definitions for
character names/spellings.

Those are the the Unicode standard's character names from the Greek & Coptic
block of the Basic Multilingual Plane:

ฮ› -- U+039B GREEK CAPITAL LETTER LAMDA
ฮป -- U+03BB GREEK SMALL LETTER LAMDA:lambda

But also, Unicode uses it in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block of the
Supplementary Multiligual Plane:
๐šฒ -- U+1D6B2 MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL LAMDA
๐›Œ -- U+1D6CC MATHEMATICAL BOLD SMALL LAMDA
๐›ฌ -- U+1D6EC MATHEMATICAL ITALIC CAPITAL LAMDA
๐œ† -- U+1D706 MATHEMATICAL ITALIC SMALL LAMDA
๐œฆ -- U+1D726 MATHEMATICAL BOLD ITALIC CAPITAL LAMDA
๐€ -- U+1D740 MATHEMATICAL BOLD ITALIC SMALL LAMDA
๐ -- U+1D760 MATHEMATICAL SANS-SERIF BOLD CAPITAL LAMDA
๐บ -- U+1D77A MATHEMATICAL SANS-SERIF BOLD SMALL LAMDA
๐žš -- U+1D79A MATHEMATICAL SANS-SERIF BOLD ITALIC CAPITAL LAMDA
๐žด -- U+1D7B4 MATHEMATICAL SANS-SERIF BOLD ITALIC SMALL LAMDA

And there are other code points that use the same spelling:

แดง -- U+1D207 GREEK LETTER SMALL CAPITAL LAMDA (from Phonetic Extensions block)

-- U+1038D UGARITIC LETTER LAMDA (from Ugaritic block)
