I have just tried it with the still-version you mentioned and also within
windows 10, i. e.:
Version: 6.1.5.2 (x64)

CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: Standard;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); Calc: threaded
what I can do here is add keys only when I'm creating an alphabetical index
("stichwortverzeichnis").
but, unfortunately, it's not possible to define keys when I choose to create a
user-defined index.
can you confirm this on your side?</pre>
