Until recently LO could only show the first page of such embedded files, until it was fixed in <a class="bz_bug_link bz_status_VERIFIED bz_closed" title="VERIFIED FIXED - FILEOPEN/FILESAVE DOCX LibreOffice Writer always shows the first sheet of the OLE embedded XLSX spreadsheet" href="show_bug.cgi?id=122594">bug #122594</a>. What you see is the first, empty sheet of the embedded file.
