Normally when I link a text it gets _underlined_. Yet when I attempt to change
something - color or edit - in that text, the underlining disappears.

(6.0.7.3 is the latest version currently available on Kubuntu)
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use enclose sample, select "2"
2.<ctrl>-K
3.add a letter to "2", e.g. "2a"
4.Clicjk "Apply"
5.see underline disappear
Actual Results:
_2_ becomes 2a
Expected Results:
_2_ becomes _2a_
Reproducible: Always
