Improving this sort of stuff requires expertise that not every programmer has.
Of course it would get fixed, if some entity with money would contract a
company to do the work. I don't know, if we have any purely volunteer
programmer, who would be able to do something about this.
As a non-programmer, there are lots of things you can do to make the lives of
programmers easier. If you can dedicate time for LibreOffice in general, you
