<pre>Resetting profile wouldn't help because as it turned out on the next day (after
a long and tedious search on the internet) libreoffice didn't download one
dependency: libstaroffice. It remains unclear how filters for an old office
program affect LO's performance but it's a fact that after installing that
package, the function in question started working again.</pre>
