<pre>Description:
Under some circumstances, the keyboard shortcuts for interacting with context
menus are underlined, and in some circumstances they are not. For instance, I
often want to insert a column to the left of a selected column, and it is hard
to discover that to do this from the context menu, I hit L. If displaying the
hotkeys were easy, not always displaying them might be acceptable (although
probably pointless) because they are mostly useful when memorized, but it is
even hard to figure out how to display them.
System:
Ubuntu 18.04
LibreOffice 6.0.7.3 (in Ubuntu 18.04 repository)
Bug shows up in both Calc and Writer
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Calc.
2. Right click or two-finger tap on a column header to bring up the context
menu for the column. None of the letters in any of the commands will be
underlined. (Alternatively, open Writer and right click on the page to bring up
a context menu.)
3. Move the cursor. None of the letters will be underlined.
4. Hit Alt. Still, none of the letters in any of the commands will be
underlined.
5. Move the cursor. Letters for keyboard shortcuts will become underlined.
Actual Results:
Underlined keyboard shortcuts only show up after pressing Alt and subsequently
moving the cursor.
Expected Results:
The expected behavior is that L in "Insert Columns Left" will be underlined
immediately when the context menu opens. It should at least be underlined after
hitting Alt (although aesthetics seems like a flimsy reason to not have them
always underlined). There is really no reason why the keyboard shortcuts should
only show up after hitting Alt AND moving the cursor. If I am moving the
cursor, then it is too late for a keyboard shortcut to be helpful.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
