Yes, to NEW, as indicated in <a href="show_bug.cgi?id=112271#c1">comment 1</a> the Find & Replace (<Ctrl>+H) dialog is
not persistent--and otherwise can not be configured with user set Defaults.
And while <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_RESOLVED bz_closed"
title="RESOLVED FIXED - Quick search (ctrl+f) affected by invisible option from the search-and-replace dialog"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=62601">bug 62601</a> correctly isolated the Find bar from the Find & Replace
dialog. But as noted in companion <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_NEW "
title="NEW - Find toolbar resets 'Other options' in the Find & Replace dialog"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=112270">bug 112270</a> using the Find bar will clobber
the Find dialog settings--back to defaults (just for some of the values).
But tangental issue annoying folks (<a href="show_bug.cgi?id=112271#c5">comment 5</a> here) is that the default for the
<Ctrl>+F Find bar does not search in Values, and can't be user configured to do
so--that is <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_NEW "
title="NEW - Find Bar Ctrl+F (search of Cells in Calc): add Expert configuration option to set search for cell Values in stead of Formulas"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=102506">bug 102506</a> with some interest in being able to restrain search to
columns or to rows.</pre>
