        <pre>Unfortunately I've not been able to recreate the error using the original 2
sheets or copying from original to a new sheet. The crash report was auto
generated and I posted in case it's of use. 

I'm happy to try things that might get it to repeat though if anyone has
suggestions, I honestly don't understand what the crash report is saying.  

It might be relevant to know the copied cell included a URL (see screenshot).
Using paste-special with text + numbers + date formats, the URL is retained
when pasted using paste-special.  The copied area was also part of an
autofilter range with no filters applied.
