<pre>And, lest folks think we are ignoring an interoperability feature--MS Office
has removed its support for EPS (which had been provided with an import filter
conversion to EMF).

This MS Office support blog is germane:

<a href="https://support.office.com/en-us/article/support-for-eps-images-has-been-turned-off-in-office-a069d664-4bcf-415e-a1b5-cbb0c334a840">https://support.office.com/en-us/article/support-for-eps-images-has-been-turned-off-in-office-a069d664-4bcf-415e-a1b5-cbb0c334a840</a>

So, for working with EPS, MSO alos requires external conversion to suitable
format.</pre>
