The problem persists.
When checking from a previous version the message is inconsistent but when
checking from RC1 the message is in fact confusing.
"LibreOffice 6.2.8 is available.
The installed version is LibreOffice 6.2.7.1."
"LibreOffice 6.2.8 is available.
The installed version is LibreOffice 6.2.8.1."
I think that the suggestion from Thomas Lendo (<a href="show_bug.cgi?id=46354#c16">Comment #16</a>) is in fact a
brilliant solution!
This means that in the case above you would have
"LibreOffice 6.2.8 is available.
The installed version is LibreOffice 6.2.7"
and
"LibreOffice 6.2.8.2 is available.
The installed version is LibreOffice 6.2.8.1."
Both messages make sense and are not confusing!</pre>
