The "fix" for <a class="bz_bug_link

   title="RESOLVED FIXED - Quick search (ctrl+f) affected by invisible option from the search-and-replace dialog"
   href="show_bug.cgi?id=62601">bug 62601</a> did not fully segregate the Find bar <Ctrl>+F from the
Find & Replace dialog <Ctrl>+H; leaving lingering issues like <a class="bz_bug_link

Some suggestions to merge configuration/GUI like <a class="bz_bug_link

   title="UNCONFIRMED - [UI] unify "find" toolbar with "find & replace" dialog (+multiple reasons given)"
   href="show_bug.cgi?id=129783">bug 129783</a>, and many one-off
requests to add settings to the Find bar (bound to or independent) from the
Find & Replace dialog settings continue to arrive.

Seems this needs a UX-Advise discussion of how to proceed, so we can handle UX
requests and design in a consistent fashion.

Should the Find bar offer customization for the search functions of the Find &
Replace dialog?  Should it be a limited set of search functions?  Should the
configuration of the Find bar fully pick up its settings from the Find &
Replace dialog--and be stateful/recorded to user profile?</pre>
