Additional information:
I opened Base and was presented with the Database Wizard. I selected
"Connect to an existing database", chose "Microsoft Access 2007" and
clicked Next. I then browsed to an existing database rhs.accdb and
clicked Finish. I was asked to set a new database name and set rhs.odb
followed by Save. The database window opened with an error dialogue:

The connection to the data source "RHS3" could not be established.
The connect could not be created. May be the necessary data provider is not
installed.

On clicking OK the dialogue disappeared but the database window remained for
several seconds before disappearing also. On restarting, the bug/crash report
was generated.</pre>
