Allowing the user to access the bookmark LIST in a more convenient fashion and then have a search function might be the answer. One of the problems I see is that in order to access the insertion of bookmarks you either have to use a number of key strokes or take your hands off the keyboard and use the mouse which is very inconvenient when trying to edit and type things into a document. A direct option to access in document bookmarks for hyperlinks would be very convenient, as I was thinking a HOT KEY combo to put you in the dialogue directly.
