<pre>@eisa: that option saves a file and sets the "hide file suffix" flag. You can
find that setting if you select any file in finder app then press ⌘I and look
at the Name & Suffix section. There is the option to hide the suffix. Some
users prefer to set that flag as default when they save a new file.</pre>
