Ok, fair enough - then its NEEDINFO for the Windows side, perhaps stavrosss can
share some more details of his setup (printer model, does it also happen when
printing to file for that printer, or perhaps using this XPS foo).

Well the spool file then gets processed by CUPS before hitting the physical
printer, so we'd need to get the final representation of that file. Could you
try and extract that via this howto:
