Description:
within a document, when marking text with mouse and pasting it with
middle-button, the focus stays on the marked source text. this is in contrast
to all editors i know, where the focus/cursor is placed after the pasted text.
consequence: when pasting and continuing to type, the highligted source text
gets erased and new text is entered there. yes, it can be undone with ctrl-z,
but the behavior is highly confusing and inconsistent with other ui
experiences.
i fell about a hundred times into this trap, which always distorts my text
flow, so i though i give it a try here.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. mark text with mouse
2. paste text in same document somewhere
3. immediately type something
Actual Results:
source (marked text) gets erased. focus is in wrong/inconsistent place. highly
confusing.
Expected Results:
focus/cursor should be placed after the pasted text. this would be consistent
with experience in other editors.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
OpenGL enabled: Yes
Additional Info:
well, this behavior is present in all versions of libreoffice writer. it seemes
to have been there for a long time ...
