<pre>Description:
In LibreOffice Writer I click "Help -> Send Feedback" and I get a popup box
with the message:
"/home/guest/<a href="https:/hub.libreoffice.org/send-feedback/?LOversion=6.1.5.2&LOlocale=en-US&LOmodule=TextDocument">https:/hub.libreoffice.org/send-feedback/?LOversion=6.1.5.2&LOlocale=en-US&LOmodule=TextDocument</a>:
No such file or directory"
I tried this with :
- LO Version: 6.1.5.2 / Linux (Debian 10)
- LO Version: 6.4.2.2 / Linux (Debian 10)
- LO version: 6.3.5.2 (x64) / Windows 10
I had different results. Hoping to make things crystal clear for others, I'll
add a post per Operating System / LibreOffice version. (This means three extra
posts.)
I hope that for developers this may be easy to fix. Basic users however, get an
error message on the screen, which they think may be severe.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click: Help -> Send Feedback
Actual Results:
I get a popup box with the message:
"/home/guest/<a href="https:/hub.libreoffice.org/send-feedback/?LOversion=6.1.5.2&LOlocale=en-US&LOmodule=TextDocument">https:/hub.libreoffice.org/send-feedback/?LOversion=6.1.5.2&LOlocale=en-US&LOmodule=TextDocument</a>:
No such file or directory"
Expected Results:
My browser should have started and go to the appropriate page online.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Maybe the part "/home/guest/" at the start of these URLs needs to be removed?
For an advanced user this shouldn't be a real problem. The user can copy and
paste the right ULR in the address bar of a browser.
For a "basic" user however this may be a problem. They may not know how to copy
and past the URL to a browser. They may also think that something severe
happened. Imagine that a basic user was looking for help to solve a problem,
then the basic user now may think he has two problems. If the user is an
employee in a company, then suddenly he or she can't finish the task he or she
was supposed to finish that day.
Having seen a few basic users, I hope we can avoid that they think that this is
a bug, and especially that they would loose confidence in LibreOffice.</pre>
