<pre>How about adding a page break to the chapter style?
[Heading] Paragraph Style > Text Flow > Breaks > [x] Insert [Page] [Before].
But reading your request again you may have a UI control in mind that always
shows the current chapter, like at the statusbar. We do have the Navigator for
this purpose, and the latest build always highlight the current position.
Meaning under Headings are Chapter 1, Chapter 2 etc. listed and Chapter 2 is
selected when your cursor is in this part.</pre>
