Simply because Slide Layout icon is just a static icon, it does not change
based on the icon within the drop down box.

Simply put, I don't really know the answer. I have similar issue with the
triangle arrow in RTL UI: it get lost (and I remember still have not file a
bug)

Are you sure? Try switch the mode e.g. from Normal to Master Slide after
changing icon size.</pre>
