I'm on 6.3.6.2 now, but it was a manually installed upgrade. Check for Updates insisted I was fine. 6.3.5.2 (my previous version) was not the only version to act this way, it just took a while to notice a pattern. It seems like any current version with four digits in it confuses Check for Updates when the newer version does not share the first three digits. For example, 6.3.5.2 -> 6.3.5.3 would work, whereas 6.3.5.2 -> 6.3.6.2 would not. I will keep an eye out with this version (6.3.6.2).
