I'd taken a flier downloading 6.4.4 anyway. I'll now wait till the version on the repositories gets updated. I don't know if the two versions will co-exist on the machine - so I now have no way of replicating the fault. I'm afraid I don't have test resources. I stated in my original bug report that I'd backed out the new 6.4.4 version.
