Indeed, the slideshow blackness has now been addressed (<a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_ASSIGNED "
title="ASSIGNED - Slides show completely black in presentation mode (Linux kf5 and gtk3)"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=135094">bug #135094</a>) and
the original issue (white slides in the slide pane) still is there, so two
different code paths.
Maybe it's the same trigger in that working on <a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_ASSIGNED "
title="ASSIGNED - Slides show completely black in presentation mode (Linux kf5 and gtk3)"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=135094">bug#135094</a> Miklos found a
0cm x 0cm image in the sample slide deck that triggered the blackness in
presentation mode.
Hopefully a good hint for someone looking into the blank preview issue?</pre>
