<pre>Deleting a "word" is an issue of selection. We delete what we select.

But, as usual there is already some text cursor "positional" handling of word
bounds in the edit shell [1] as in <a class="bz_bug_link

href="show_bug.cgi?id=100189">bug 100189</a>; and this already is handled.
