<pre>Description:
I am aware that there may be some desire for commonality across components of
LibreOffice. However, I am concerned about the usability of the TSCP
Classification toolbar within Calc and feel it would benefit from a review by
the LibreOffice Design and User Experience team.
My general understanding is that toolbars are most useful for frequently used
tools, so that access to the tool is readily available through a single click
on a toolbar icon. I am not an expert on applying classification to a
spreadsheet but it seems reasonable to assume that it isn’t a frequent
activity.
In Calc, the default configuration of the TSCP Classification toolbar only
offers one tool – a drop-down Level menu for selecting one of the four
available classification options (see attachment). To classify a Calc document
you must:
1.Go to View > Toolbars > TSCP Classification to open the toolbar
2.Select the appropriate option on the toolbar
3.Go to View > Toolbars > TSCP Classification to close the toolbar (to avoid it
occupying unnecessary screen space)
Would it be more user-friendly if the classification level options were
available somewhere on the Menu bar (perhaps in the File menu)? This would make
the toolbar redundant and perhaps it could be removed from Calc?
